One of France’s most famous wine making regions – Bordeaux, experienced the ideal set of weather conditions this past year and is expected to produce some of the best grapes in six years. A wet spring, followed by a dry summer and a warm fall with lower than expected night temperatures means that the vineyards of Bordeaux are producing some of the best grapes seen this decade. The 2016 vintage will likely jump in price by as much as 10 percent compared to 2015. This is a welcome sight for French winemakers, who’s prices last peak in 2011.
