Alcohol regulations in the state of Massachusetts will soon be up for review. Deborah Goldberg, the Treasurer of the state, is leading the charge by forming a task force of suppliers, wholesalers, retailers, and lawyers to come up with revisions that will benefit the alcohol industry. For years, both businesses and the public have believed that the Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission (ABCC) has been operating with limited resources. For example, the ABCC only has 15 inspectors to cover 30,000 licensees. Goldberg’s task force will address these issues and aim to make Massachusetts’s alcohol legal framework more relevant in today’s market.
