Frozen rosé, also known as frosé, is becoming one of the fastest growing cocktails of choice at high end drinking spots throughout Manhattan. Demand has gone through the roof this summer with the heat ramping up that some establishments say they are having trouble keeping pace with demand and keeping product in stock. The cocktail is extremely simple, primarily made with a combination of rosé, peach liqueur, melon flavored vodka and then blended in a frozen drink machine with ice.
The surge for frosé parallels the increase in demand for rosé, according to food and drink experts. U.S. sales have risen by over 55 percent in recent years up to $217 million over the last 12 months, according to market researcher Nielsen.
