Total wine shipments to the U.S. grew by 3 percent last year, roughly equivalent to 400 million cases. That growth is consistent with the 10 year trend across both domestic and imported wines. Over the past 10 years the growth of the wine industry has outperformed all of the other alcoholic beverage categories.
Wines retailing for over $10 are trending up at rates nearly reaching double digits while growth for wines retailing for under $10 remained flat.
