Sales of Virginia wines continued to grow robustly in 2016, growing by more than 6%. According to the office of Governor Terry McAuliffe, many small wineries did very well last year. The state’s latest economic impact study shows an 82% increase in the wine sector’s value since 2010. The economic impact study reported that the state’s wine industry brings in more than $1.37 billion dollars annually to Virginia’s economy.
