law-picWhile the United States presidential election may have cast a large shadow, legal development for alcohol regulations did become an area of focus for certain parts of the country during recent voting.  One of the biggest issues was the vote to allow wine and strong beer sales in Oklahoma grocery stores.  Voters of the state approved the bill by a landslide.  On a smaller level, voters in Humboldt, Tennessee passed a referendum allowing wine sales in the city’s grocery stores.  South Carolina’s alcohol industry also experienced a boost after voters approved Sunday alcohol sales in three of their counties (Chester, Greenville, and Lancaster), one city (Easley), and one town (Central).  For consumers, it seems that convenience is their real priority.  It will be interesting to see what regulations are voted on and in what states down the road.
